Our second walk in Ubir
Our second walk started well. It was a really nice walk, not as much musqitoes as the first walk and not too hot and no flies... A lot of warning signs though...

See... Here we are all happy, still not to hot or annoyed by the flies...

I really loved the rock formations, and they were easy to climb too, which we of course did :)

It was after this point things got a bit too much, we had done about half of our second walk and we saw a sign for another walk, so we thought, why not. But that walk ended up taking a lot longer then we thought, it was a lot hoter and a lot more flies that were going around, around and around our heads... In the end I just wanted to scream and I did eventually. But now I am happy we did it. We ended up walking for about 6 hours, we were exhausted of, but we got heaps of good pictures and were kept entertained for most of the day :) And like always, the nature was absolutely amazing...

Very nice with long walks. We did a lot of long walk in Januari til June this year. Every Friday. Normally 4-6 hours but it also happened that we lost our way twice and one acually lasted 9 hours and one 8. But it is soo nice to se the nature from close up. And GC have sooo many walks from ascient times. Our german leader is back on GC now so we will start soon. Would love to walk though in Ubir with you xxx. Huuu - with crocodiles. KRAM PAPPA

Yeah, here's definitely some good walks, but we need to hurry up with some of them, cause the wet season will be here soon, and some of them won't be open then... Kram
Could that count as a "walkabout"? In some of the pictures I could imagine Crocodile Dundee behind a tree or on a rock.
Är det pga krokodilerna som floden fått sitt namn? såg ni några? Fantastiska bilder! Men insekterna vet jag inte om jag klarat av. Tacka vet jag Fulltoftaskogen (några mygg och lite vildsvin)! Jag bara skämtar. Klart det varit kul att uppleva Ubir, om det bara inte varit så förbaskat långt borta.
Vem är tjejen med det svarta håret? Det kan väl inte vara hon som skulle låta sitt hår vila i ett halvår?
Fantastisk natur! Jag har försökt kommentera dina tidigare inlägg, men jag sitter nu på ett internet som är långsammare än det långsammaste bush-hostel-internet du nånsin kan tänka dig...

Ja Lars, vi kan nog klassa de som en "walkabout" :D De hade varit pricken over i:et om Crocodile Dundee hade dykt upp, de hade jag definitivt aldrig glomt :)
Mamma, du har nog inte last mitt tidigare inlagg, scrollar du ner langre, sa ser du att prommenaden vi gjorde innan denna dar har jag ett foto pa en krokodil, vi sag tre eller fyra stycken under hela dagen. Floden e dopt av en utforskare som seglade langs floden for massor med ar sen, han sag krokodilerna och trodde de var aligators, sa da blev de Alligator River (East, South och West). Nej, flug massigt e de ju battre hemma, men fagel massigt e de ganska grymt har :) Men ja... laaaaangt....
Malin, de dar internetet later varre an mitt... Lider med dig! ;)

Forresten mamma... ja... jag rakade farga haret, burken bara foll over huvudet pa mig :D Men den enda uttalade planen, va att inte bleka haret pa ett ar... :D for de torkar ut haret varre an om jag gor de morkt... :) Iknow... jag e lite kass nar de kommer till att lata haret va ifred...
